Brands Hatch/Donnngton

Picture
As a new team entering the Legends Championship, and myself a rookie having come from karts, we entered the opener at Brands Hatch with areasonable amount of uncertainty - with having done no pre-season testing, so the aim was just to get as much mileage under my belt as possible.
The Friday test went well, getting to grips and getting agood feel for the
car was surprisingly easy and my times were not too far off the pace.

Saturday race day went well, and having to start from the very back of the
grid every time as a new comer meant lots of thrills and spills trying to get
through the field, and results of 11th, 13th and 12th were good enough to take
the silverware for best rookie of the round. Sunday was a decent day too, with
another 3 solid finishes enabling me to win the RSCapp rookie award for the
weekend. As a team we learnt an incredible amount and took this forward to
Donington Park.

Donnington

Donington was an event like no other I had experienced before, racing in front of 30,000 people as we supported the European Truck Championship. On the track, looking back on the season, it was our worst weekend, with various car issues on the Saturday and having a meeting with a wall on Sunday, things didn't go as planned!

What was superb was the friendliness and support of our competitors when they were chipping in helping repair the car for the final, in particular a huge thank you to Stephen Whitelegg and his #66 team.
